Ryde Park Kiosk

Matt Day Architects were approached by the City of Ryde to design a new recreation area and cafe to compliment the growing needs of the surrounding residents.

Inspired by local materials and forms, the project creates a new heart to the Ryde Park, facilitating commercial and recreational use as well as increase passive surveillance.

The building has been orientated to best capture morning and midday sun, whilst large overhangs extend to protect from afternoon sun and create a generous canopy over the new restaurant and seating area.
